Local League Facts

Stevens Point Area Local League Facts:
  • Organized in1961, the Stevens Point Area League has been active in many city/county issues. Some recent areas of study and focus include; public school issues, eco-municipality communities, election administration, voter registration activities.
  • The League organizes forums for candidates and ballot referenda and programs on issues of importance to the community.
  • Meetings provide information, study, discussion and set direction for action on issues.
  • Activities are scheduled from September through May. Times vary based on need (some evenings-some weekends) and to accommodate peoples varying schedules.
  • All meetings are open to the public.
